Library Access

Private Desks Readers may rent desks with shelves, so that library books, personal books and possessions may be kept there for the duration of your visit. Users of rented desks can access the Library from 8.30 am – 10.00 pm Monday to Saturday.

Hot Desks can be booked for a maximum of two day per week. Access is limited between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. Readers are required to clear Hot Desks on a daily basis and to return books and periodicals to the shelves. Personal possessions should not be left in the Library overnight. (If you would like to purchase a pass to allow you to use a Hot Desk on a regular basis contact us to ask for further details.)


Additional Concessions

Cambridge University & Federation undergraduates and Cambridge University teaching officers may access the Library and use a Hot Desk during normal working hours free of charge. 

Members of Tyndale Fellowship who have up-to-date subscriptions will be issued with two five day visitors passes on their first visit each year. This will allow them to access the Library and use a Hot Desk during normal working hours at no additional cost.

Cambridge University graduate students may make five visits to consult sources of information during anyone academic year. Please contact the librarian to arrange a visit (
