It’s a delight to be involved in sponsoring a new generation of scholars. Nicholas Reid, currently doing a DPhil at the University of Oxford in Assyriology, has been awarded a David F. Breuer and Martha J. Breuer scholarship.

Some scholarships are awarded following a process of advertising and open competition and others when a sponsor approaches us and asks us to recommend to them an individual with a particular profile.

Some individual British scholars to whom we’ve been able to provide limited support through the Erasmus Fund are Dan Christian, David Kirk, Helen Morris, Hannah Robinson and Steffen Jenkins.

For many years since the time of Donald Wiseman Tyndale House has had a deep interest in Assyriology which is the discipline covering more than a million ancient texts, largely unread, in cuneiform script. It’s a delight to see Nicholas, with his deep passion to serve the church, doing pioneering work in this area.
