The Garden House
The refurbished Edwardian Garden House in the grounds of Tyndale Lodge offers a high standard of accommodation for visiting scholars. It is a quiet and comfortable retreat suitable for an individual or a couple who wish to visit Tyndale House for a short stay of up to a month.
The Garden House was designed for Blanche Athena Clough (1861-1960), former Principal of Newnham College, Cambridge and many of the original features have been retained in the restoration of the building. The accommodation includes a charming double bedroom on the first floor, with sloping ceilings and gabled windows:
There is a light and airy sitting room on the ground floor:
The fully-equipped kitchen and shower room are located in the basement:
Although the house is small, the thoughtful restoration has ensured that there is plenty of storage space for guests:
